Anne von Canal

Anne von Canal worked as an editor in the German publishing industry for over ten years, before shifting to the  more creative side--first, as a translator of Norwegian and Swedish fiction, then with her own writing in German. She is the author of the novel Der Grund (Mare, 2014) and has edited a selection of short stories about islands, Irgendwo ins grüne Meer. She spent her short residency doing research for a new novel about a glaciologist.
